This particular song was never included on any Pointer Sisters album, even though they performed it on several talk/variety shows in the mid-1970's. By contrast, their Grammy award winning country/pop hit "Fairytale" was on their 2nd album "That's A Plenty", which was released in 1974. Also, all 4 Pointer Sisters recorded this song. If you listen closely you can hear all 4 harmony parts.
OMG!!!! I love this song so much. I once had it in 45 rpm format and since lost that. I wish I could get a copy of this. The sisters rock! Thanks to whoever posted this.
I actually have the single of this song. I've been a fan of theirs for years and June is definitely on this recording. By this time she had recovered from her 1974 nervous breakdown (which sidelined her for at least half of 1974) and was back with the group. By the way, June quit the group in November of 1975 (hoping to retire from show business) and came back in early 1976.
DUDE!!! You get major props for posting the rare gem--the Pointer Sisters singing their country single "Live Your Life Before You Die". This song was written by Anita and Bonnie Pointer and was released as a single in March of 1975. This single didn't do too well on the charts in spite of their singing it on several TV variety shows. Their other country single "Fairytale" did much better as a hit record and won a Grammy!!
