My Son's First Guitar Gig

Here Schuyler plays rhythm for the song "I Fell in Love" with the blues/jazz/rock/motown band DEJA BLUE at Roaring Brook Ranch in Lake George, NY, during Americade, on June 3, 2009. Vinnie Spero, his guitar teacher, invited him to play for this event as a guest performer during the first two sets ( four songs in total), including some solo riffs. This is not so unusual - until you realize he is only 13 years old and has been taking lessons for less than 6 months. Is this the next Chuck Berry?! BTW, the other three songs were "Sweet Home Chicago," "Shake, Rattle & Roll," and "Johnny B. Goode."

Just watched this again today. Am sending it on to a nephew. This is a great band. Saw this summer at Lake George playing on one of the Lake Excursion boats. What a wonderful time.
