this is what 16mm film looks like when you develop it in your bathroom. hard fucking core, man. I had to scan this frame by frame, crop each frame in photoshop, then assemble it all together in premiere and render it out.

I am sans telecine.

camera: Bell and Howell 240T, 1954. w/ angenieux 20mm lens. 16FPS @ f/1,9 under normal incandescent lighting.

  • Hahaha, you're my hero. That seriously is hardcore. I'm looking for a cheap way right now to transfer 16mm film to digital formats. You did it the coolest, most old-school way ever.

  • Looks cool man. But for 2 seconds I hope it didn't take you too long? Jay

  • that is really cool. That was reversal not negative right? Do you live anywher near seattle? if so, the wiggly world folks have an extremely interesting device for capturing film frame by frame directly into a mac. thanks for sharing!
