I got a serious question for you.

How long did it take the police to arrive as soon as you reached the actual sign?

The police never came. We did this at 5:00 AM on a Sunday morning. When we got up there though there was a motion detector on top of a camera on top of a bull horn mounted on the Y pointing to the D. It's a quarter mile hike up a steep sandy hillside bring good shoes and a wad of 20's.

I don't know. It was like 5 AM on a Sunday so maybe the guards were asleep? There was cameras, and a loud speaker right next to us though.

Climbing up the Hollywood Hills during the rattlesnake season is not very advisable!!!

ya u should be in jail cuz it is illegal. u mightve been able to get away with it when u were there but now u cant

how did you get up to the front of the sign? like which route did you take to get there?

and we drove away safely - no big deal :) worth it BOTH times

SECOND TIME: I went about three weeks ago at 2:30AM and it was a large group just like the first time. As soon as we got near the sign we must've tripped motion sensors because we heard a beeping noise - wasn't loud though, but we left just in case and started walking down path about halfway down a spotlight from top of the mountain was focused on a us and either a recording or someone on mic yelled at us to leave and exit premise over some type loudspeaker no one was waiting for us at bottom

Okay update : I did it again about three weeks ago after I initially did it 3 months ago. Both times we approached it by walking up the long probably 2 mile or so paved road that winds around the mountain. You end up being right behind the sign and one point and you hop a fence that has no barb wire or anything and than its a quick walk down a hill and you can touch sign/climb it whatever - First time went at 5AM on a Saturday and it was still dark.. hung out for about a half an hour
