You are both right.
"Pas" means "step" and "not", it just depends in which sense you use it! And I thought both of your interpretations were accurate, just to let you know.
And yes, I do very much agree that they have amazing technique, but even being in a class, they couldève at least smiled!

@skydivingjellybeans Yes of course performing is always key but the purpose of this video was for technique purposes not artistry. It was just to demonstrate the technique required for partnering.

their technique was incredible. but i think they need to 'perform' more. ballet is not just technique, it has to come from the heart.
