@siefertma My mother-in-law is a singularity......

@siefertma Actually, that's not true (and closer to Event Horizon, and not exactly true in that case, either). What you saw in The Black Hole was the way that the humans involved interpreted an experience in some ways beyond their comprehension, so they used whatever way they could.
In other words, it wasn't a literal interpretation.

I never even knew that there was ever toys of these. WOW. Was there one for STAR too? You know that black sentry bot?
-
I had a few of these,sadly they didn't survive being played with.I remember they had elastic bands inside connecting the parts together
-
@Kaffyboy I may try that. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the robots of '70's sci-fi.

@FiendsInRedSatin1 You can try ebay, but they're expensive! I have one that is still in it's original packaging. I also have a mint on card Reinhardt and Vincent. I have a vid of some of my packaged figures on youtube, and the Black Hole figures are prominent!

Disney is going to do a remake of this movie.

Always wanted one of the sentry robots from that toy line, but it was almost twice the price of the Star Wars figures.
Interesting film and quite a break from the usual Disney fare of that time.

@BadIdeaBearCub I KNEW IT! In the 1976 WORLD BOOK ENCYCLOPEDIA, I noticed that Cygnus was thought to have a black hole. I didn't know about the Carl Sagan program though. Thanks for the post.
What did you expect? This IS after all, the movie that postulated that singularities were a gateway to Hell... literally.
