This is a solo piano arrangement inspired by the trio version in my last CD "La Boheme" around the greatest french songs
and by Oscar Peterson's way of playing of course.

New !!! Oscar Peterson tribute at home !

  • A truly fantastic rendition. You are an extremely talented and skilled pianist. Ignore what that FingerScarr guy said; you're a fantastic pianist and I very much enjoyed listening you playing. Really smooth and fast runs in there as well. Great work. All the best in the future.

  • Hi MusicGuru12 ! 1/ Happy neaw year !

2/Thanks for your kind comment !

3/It's fun for me to see a 17 years old cat who decide to share what he knows with others like you do on YT ! I sarted myself to give lessons in 78 (I was 18) so I know the problem ! Good work man and keep going !

  • obviously a talented pianist , got all the notes , but in any old order it seems and mangles the song , a bit of which jerks out at 2.20.

sorry can't stand these guys who waste their talent on jumbling up the comositions of others to an extent that moves far too far away from the original malody .

a bit heavy handed too . oscar was light and fleet

  • Hi fingerscarr, just for the record it's exactly what jazz is about : take a melody and put on his own harmonies, rythm and impro...

Jazz would never existed if the black slaves did'nt do exactly the same thing on white songs. Think about it...

And if you wanna hear the real version of "c'est si bon" you have 1000 on records or youtube. You have the right to not like but it's my version, my arrangement, my solo and in a way my creation. And I'm not Oscar Peterson...

    Have a good day.

  • i love you.

  • thanks for that measured reply . well i believe in respecting the original composition a little more and remaining truer to the melody . guess it's a matter of taste ! cheers
