@joeldamianicigan It's their first grinder that could be considered a high end home use model with commercial applications. Their goal with this was to create something for the ever more popular brew bars that was multi-functional and had a small footprint. They are in the process of developing one that is for espresso only, a little smaller and a little cheaper. It's an exceptional grinder, definitely could warrant the investment depending on your needs. - Kat

Because of the 65mm burrs it seems this machine doesn't clump the coffee as much as with the Vario especially with the "flap" of sorts it has in the shoot. Does this warrant the $1,400.00? Is it marketed to the home or commercial user?

@winelover215 Yeah; we really love it but it would need to be closer to the Mazzers in price for us to market it competitively. We will be carrying their commercial espresso grinders down the line, though, if you're looking to drop a few k on that ;) - Kat

@SeattleCoffeeGear Yeah I was looking around more at it and and it looks like around a $1K price point. Kinda crazy but it is high end :) Thank for showing it at least!
So I see it turns out you are carrying the Pro M. You mentioned they were planning on coming out with one designed specifically for espresso. Does that mean this one is like the Vario in its range of grind settings (I.e. course drip down to espresso/Turkish? If so how easy is it to switch back and forth between settings?

@HighRideBOV Yeah, the espresso version is arriving in the US shortly. It's super easy to switch settings via the dial knob and it does run the gamut/does well with fine to coarse preps - Kat

I own this grinder and LOVE IT! The grind is very clumpless and quite fluffy.
As for the blinking light... it means that there is time remaining in your timer. If you set it for 10 seconds, the light begins with being on, not blinking. You can grind for 5 sec and stop, at which point the light will start blinking letting you know that there is time left on the timer. You can, however, quickly press the button to reset the timer.
It's an excellent grind and with a small footprint.

@joeldamianicigan We just did an overall review of Espro's gear, not one specific to the tampers, but we discuss them and show how they work there. - Kat
