@wisefreethinker242 In science, you think the only way we can know something is if we can observe it happening, even if there is physical evidence, yet for religion or god, you don't need evidence? Interesting double standard. Your questions are nearly all things that a cursory google search would turn up the answers to. Why should I provide the answers to you when you aren't intellectually curious enough to find the answers on your own?

@mindlessprimitive Sure, well if you want to not believe those other things that actually have evidence behind them, and instead believe in an invisible person, that's totally fine. I can't stop you.

@Zaunstar So the killing of innocent children in the womb is best for all humans?
Besides this, if everything was about humans, we would have already progressed to a higher state of being in which we eliminated wars and diseases and famines from our planet.

@qarohc I got some reality for you.....we'll never find E.T. We'll never figure out where we came from looking down a microscope, and we'll never get anywhere debating.

Fuck the WBC.

@tathagata40 Thanks! I made this one quite awhile ago. Feel free to check out my newer ones.
Your comparing God to a drug addiction is just sad. You exhibit faith every time you enter a new location in your life, so it's not a curse.
However, we should examine our beliefs with a critical eye, as you said. But it needs to be through the scope of Scripture.

@JagCreed4 The scope of scripture... or the blinders of scripture?

@Zaunstar If that's what you want to call it...fine. With no standards or absolute truth, we live in anarchy.

@JagCreed4 So if we need to figure out "absolute truth", we need to ask people their opinions on god. Then suddenly we are back to square one, and it comes down to personal opinions again. There are better ways.

@Zaunstar You can choose to not believe in absolute truth in court by telling the judge "I know I murdered that guy, but my truth says I can murder" and even a liberal judge will not pardon you.
But let's discuss these "better ways." I am interested.

@JagCreed4 It isn't better for humanity for us to work that way. Humans come first. In some situations, such as these, most peoples' version of gods and standards that are best for humans will usually agree, and that's fine. The tricky part comes in when it's something like how homosexuals should be treated, or other matters related to sex, and freedom to do or not do things that some religions do not approve of but do not hurt people.
