When riding in a bus at certain times of day at certain times of the year, the sunlight can flicker through the windows in a strobing fashion.
This is a bad thing for epileptics, as it can trigger seizures.
This is Christine Lowe riding an OC Transpo bus on Dec. 17, 2011.
She doesn't have a seizure in this one, but if she didn't cover her eyes, she might have, as this actually happened on the O-Train back in 2003 (I think it was).
@AngelicaLeandra there were no seats at the time, and the flickering is everywhere. she had one on the O-Train years ago because the light was hitting the floor, coming through the trees and windows. once we got up to the right speed, the floor was basically strobing at her, and she went down. She is under 24/7 supervision.

I dont mean to be rude or anything, but cant she just sit on the other side of the bus with her back to the sun?

@mkiii450 you categorically should not be driving. stop driving at once.

Russ, I am all too familiar with the strobing effect and epilepsy. This happens to me while driving or riding in a car when the sun plays peek-a-boo with the trees on the side of the road. Makes for a scary ride !
