@dornravlin oh wow high five on our mutual teen maturity :) I know sometimes I despair at my age group.. nevermind there is hope now! Im really not sure, I think it changes some things but i cant imagine myself being massively different.. I really like Amelie the french film, and Angel-A another french one. I love Into The Wild, one of my favourite films. what about yourself?

@Alientrips I thought the American one was more true to the book (except for the part where Australia wasn't at all involved), and I'm not American or even english-speaking, so no excuses.

@razmataz13drums wow a fellow teanager who likes forien film with subtittels thank you god for sending me this angel in my hour of darknes. you cant realy say how you would feel about boobs in movie if you were a man could you if your were a male youd proubly think things in a differnt light . i thinkout gener and sexualty make up our interest and persenaltys .if our genger changed woudnt our ideas be differnt? what other movies do you like ?
-
@Alientrips thats definitely true, on the whole. i personally think subtitles are fine and especially in a foriegn film it feels way more unnatural to me for everyeryone to speak in english then just having to read a translation. You can even select a dubbed version (english voice-over) if you like, I tried it out of curiousity, it was interesting!
-
@dornravlin haha youre right and i speak as a teenager; we dont want to boobs all the time even if i was male! we want intelligent story and not pandering down stuff
-
The real reason why there was an American version made: Americans hate reading subtitles in movies... it's that simple... hehehe
-
Meh... the American version wasn't as true to the book as the Swedish version was. The Swedish version was a MILLION TIMES better than the American version. I have seen both and will own the Swedish version and not the American version.
The American version: 2.5 Stars out of 5
The Swedish version: 4.5 to 5 Stars out of 5

David Fincher's film was brilliant. Rooney Mara was amazing!
Fincher's film made the Swedish adaptations look like Murder She Wrote or some BBC TV mini-series like The Bill or Miss fucking Marple!
Much more true to Stieg Larsson's novels. A lot more intelligence behind them.
@RIORDENATO They are journalists, not fans :P
