@Lindamaus007 have fun! :) I lived in California and now I live in NY. The 2 states are very different. The US is huge so each region has its own culture. I hope you are going to northern California.

@crazyhippo21 good luck dear. It's a very, very hard program to get into but extremely worth it. Make sure you tell them you're open minded to going anywhere.
Rotary Youth Exchange is a wonderful opportunity. It is the best supported, and the most reasonably priced exchange in the world, because Rotary is a non-profit organization. I can relate to all the kids' comments above. It was the most amazing year of my life.

I'm going to Sweden in 2011. Too keen, can't wait to learn more about myself n meet people that i wouldn't normally get to meet. Can't wait :)
