  • An mna,Tim must be one of the best singers in the world(right up there with Matt and Halford.

  • I can tell you that is one of the most dificult song to sing in teh history of metal...maybe saints in hell from judas, stargazer from rainbow, or gates of valhalla from manowar can be compared!!

  • You know, I originally didn't hold this album too well, especially after I had initially listened to Crucible of Man and even Dystopia, even though I only enjoyed about 3-4 songs from that album.

Regardless, it really only was after a long lonesome drive did I listen to this album, and I have to say, it's probably my favorite of Iced Earth.

It really helps explain a great deal of their other songs and albums especially Prophecy, which I originally thought was a song about 9/11.

    I love Iced Earth

  • ripper gave the most for the iced earth cause

  • Someone in an Iced Earth longsleeve is doing quite funny hand movements on the left center at about 3:26 :-)

  • 2:17 = "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--YIIIEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAARGHHH!!"

    Motherfucker can scream.

  • Don't forget about Cathedral Spires, or pretty much any song from The Glorious Burden.

  • @ExarKatarn

All I can say is: "Amen Brother!"

My first Iced Earth album was this one, and I was sold when I heard this song. He tears the cracks in the wall with his voice. Seeing him do this live is stunning. And I definitely like Barlow, but Owens is certainly brilliant in his own way. Btw, his performance on the new Avantasia is stunning as well :)

  • i was actually hoping they'd have both owens and barlow doing dual vocals on Crucible of Man cuz both are amazing singers and having them both do vocals at the same time would be beyond epic

  • I'm more partial to Ripper myself. Barlow is a good singer but damn those falsettos are badass.

  • i like ripper in Iced Earth Better than Barlow. I think he fits style better

  • Barlow is a true great but he just can't hit Tim's wicked falsettos!!!
