Coming to Ravana,..

Brahmin is a Varna, but Rakshasa is not a Varna, it is a Jati...

A Jati can have all four Varnas...

And I do not know about Ajameel, hence I can not comment...

One more point I want to add is that Sandhyavandanam should be performed by all humans, irrespective of their Varna and Jati...

But the customs are different for different Varnas and Jatis...

But today, only Brahmins are doing it... That too not everyone...

Rishi and Brahmin are different...

Rishi and Sanyasi can be from any of the four Varnas... Even Varnabahyas can become a Rishi...

Valmiki became a Rishi... He didnot become a Brahmin...

Same is the case with Vishwamitra.. Vishwamitra became a Rishi, not a Brahmin...

Coming to Vyasa, Vyasa's mother is brought up in a fisherman's family... But she is a Gandharva lady...

Inspite of being brought up in a fisherman's familiy, she always had Saatvik food...

This is a great video available on Internet. Excellent source for learning Sandhyavandanam.

I used to do 'Laghu Sandhyavandanam' which is a short cut. My father recently presented me a full text sandhyavandanam book written by "Maddulapalli Venkata Subrahmanya Sashtri. This book is available from publication of Vavilla Ramashastri & Sons.

This video's full text is available in the book with word by word meaning. After practice it is taking 18 to 20 minutes.
