I have heard 248 versions of this song (but, who's counting?). Don't know what it is about Tipitina, but I can listen to it over & over & never tire of it. You seem to have taken the best of the best and added some incredible stuff. I am spoiled now. Thanks SO much for sharing this!

This may be the best interpretation of this tune I have ever heard! I have seen Tipitina played live by Dr. John, wish I had seen The Professor live, but I have seen video of it. I lived in Alabama, so I saw 100's of people play incredible versions of it everywhere I went. Without a shadow of any doubt, this BLOWS THEM ALL AWAY!!! I first heard Tipitina around 1952 when it came out on Atlantic records. Since then, I have heard it hundreds if not thousands of times. The interpretation in this video is absolutely the best ever. Anytime someone asks me why the piano was invented, I send them here.
