@wiriwiri09 I switched to sea salt a few years ago because I heard it was way better for you. I just heard about this Him. salt today.

If everyone started eating Himalayan salt, how long will it take to eat the Himalayan mountains? anone good at maths?!

Ok, what? When would you ever heat food to over 1500 degrees? Not even a broiler goes that high, so I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. As for being certain that any given sample of "salt" contains at least 80% sodium or potassium chloride, well that's just common sense. If it's not mostly "salt", you can't really call it "salt" can you. I dare you to buy some of this "Himalayan Salt" and run it through a Mass Spectrometer. Till then, don't bother arguing.

@masrtan i didnt say there are undiscovered elements in the salt just that science is obviously not static but ever changing with new information, so your certainty says your not much of a scientist. I also didnt really watch the video so im not endorsing any of the claims of said video just that what you said seems incorrect about salt being NaCl and that heating a food product to over 1500 degrees (table salt) wont change the nutritional profile and availability of that food.

As for not knowing what makes up the universe, currently physicists have indeed said that matter only accounts for a very small proportion of the universe's mass. Does that mean you're suggesting that there is something other than matter in the "Himalayan Salt" that gives it magical health properties? If so, what is it and how do you know it's there.
-
So your argument is that there might be undiscovered elements in the salt which might be good for you.
You do know that the latest elements discovered are all extremely radioactive right? The only reason they hadn't discovered them yet is that they decay so quickly that they disappear in milliseconds.
-
@masrtan didnt they just find five new elements this century, and havent physicists said we have identified probably less than 5 percent of what makes up the universe so your certainty leads me to believe you dont understand chemistry, or science that well. There is not one mineral in "salt", salt is not NaCl, though table salt after refinement is ALMOST pure NaCl, which may be part of why its bad for you, unrefined salt has a much more varied elemental composition neither though=NaCl

uhm uhh uhhh uhmm uhmm uhmm uhmm uhmm.....

Doesn't the Na+Cl in the other salts also need to be ionised by the water in the body?
Himalayan salt took away my heart palpatations in just 2 weeks after switching to himalayan salt, and getting rid of all other salt. I try to eliminate all processed foods as much as possible. 2 friends of mine no longer have to take high blood pressure medication after switching to himalayan salt.

she didnt even mention Himalayan salt only how bad table salt was. So what other salt is there if there is no table salt...this was hard to watch
