The Earthquaker Devices Monarch is based on the input section of certain large, brightly colored vintage British tube amplifier, legendary for it's burly tonal character. This dirt pedal's specialty is higher gain sounds that retain a dynamic, uncompressed feel. It's treble and bass controls act as frequency boosters, rather than rolloffs, letting the Earthquaker Devices Monarch rock some seriously wooly, fat-bottomed tones with plenty of high-end bite. This pedal can also operate at 18 volts DC for more headroom and a wider spectrum of distortion. The Earthquaker Devices Monarch is built by hand by good people in Akron, Ohio, USA.

  • This video is featured on Earthquaker Devices' website, that's pretty pro. Awesome sounding overdrive :)

  • I seriousley thought I was the only one who knew Hum, haha.

  • @TehZombie HA. Yeah, same reaction. PGS demos are the only demos worth a shit on youtube, imho.

  • You know, I was looking at this pedal for extra crunchiness... Then i got a Tiny Terror. Problem solved.

  • Are you running the pedal at 9v or 18v for the demo?

  • @MaidensWrath BUY A TUBE AMP FIRST!

  • This is an amazing pedal. I'm totally buying it when I get the money. If only I had a tube amp. :(
