  • any perticular reason two smaller buchner funnels are being used insted of one larger one. Had the same question about raising the mantle vs lowering the flask thanks bonham1981 your explanation makes sense

    Because if you need to shut the reaction down fast it's easier to drop the heating instead of raising the flask and the chance of spilling something is lower.

    Then again, usually you use a lifting platform and not clamps.
