I find it funny that people assume that the egg has to be oriented in a certain way, the Quran didn't specify it's orientation so it could be talking about an egg on it's side
look at it from the top !!! they are totally different shapes! this is just an illusion, eggs are restricted around their diameter (east/ west) the earth is relaxed around its diameter (north/ south) they are opposites !!!
Salam! People are coming and commenting on this video and yet they have no proper knowledge of the Arabic language. Many of the words in the Quran have multiple meanings including the word Dahaha. The first meaning is spread out. The other meaning comes from the root word Dhuyyah meaning egg-shaped (specifically the egg of an ostrich). Translations of the Quran are the word of men (they are translatory explanations to be more exact). The Holy Quran (ARABIC TEXT ONLY) is the word of God!
It's 'sort of like an egg'? Erm, in that case the earth is 'sort of like my head' and that proves that god created my head and the earth? good grief charlie brown, these guys are full of sohistry
Ha, the first thing she says is already a lie, a muslim can't say salaam to a non-muslim. Second, she's trying to tell us that the word ''dahaha'' translates as egg shaped. No, it means spread out/flat. Go to online Qur'an and read the translation of Sahih International and there you can read that it means spread out. These people are pathetic liars.
Also, a very important point...The theory of a round or spheroid earth had been around for 300 years before Muhammad was born, but even in the 7th century it hadn't been completely excepted by all people. In my opinion that is why the Quran mentions both a flat earth and egg shaped. (though there is much debate about the Arabic meaning.) Muhammad was only writing from the knowledge at the time, not divine inspiration.

No, "dhuyyah" is not a root. it's a word derived from the root D-H-W. as for its alleged meaning of "egg-shaped" i've never read such a thing.

Baby what you are showing is probably the egg-yolk.
An ostrich egg is prolate ellipsoid, earth is oblate spheroid.
They don't look the same.

If only poor Copernicus had been Muslim, religion would have backed science.

-conglomerate, collect into a mass;conglobate , to ball or roll
- cause something to move on wheels or rollers or by turning over and over, make something or be made into the shape of a ball or cylinder
