During IDF operations in Gaza Strip region on Thursday evening (Apr. 7), an Iron Dome battery successfully intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza towards Israel.

Immediately afterwards, IAF aircraft targeted a rocket-launching terrorist cell. A hit was identified.

The Iron Dome anti-rocket system, operated by aerial defense network soldiers, is currently undergoing an operational trial in southern Israel.

The Iron Dome system was designed as a response to the threats Israel faces from short-range rockets and mortar shells. The system has the capability to identify and destroy such projectiles before they land in Israeli territory.

The IDF will continue to carry out all steps necessary in order to protect the residents of southern Israel.

This is a wonderful video. I heard the first missile go over on the 7th, and it was really loud indeed, I knew at once it wasnt a plane - then the boom. Everyone is really PROUD of this.
