When a 14 year old girl and a 21 year old man date, it can cause some family disapproval. Unfortunately for Karen, her mother and brother just do not understand. This piece of cinema also touches on issues like drinking and alcoholism, friendships, love affairs, and of course dancing monsters that murder entire town populations.

Karen is a troubled young teen starting her adult life on the wrong foot by dating Nathan, a 21 year old man. Karen's mother, Diane, and brother, Mike, are very apprehensive about Karen's relationships. In the end, she makes some bad decisions.

Mike is a very intelligent live at home 22 year old son. He helps his mom with taking care of Karen, as well as be a good big brother to her. His life experiences are great for helping with Karen's teen angst. Mike also has friends.

Diane is a single mother. Her husband left her 3 years ago for another woman and she's still a little shaken up about it. Mike, her son, does all he can to help her through her tough times. But, naturally, alcohol is the ultimate cure for her troubles.

This small family of 3 is not perfect, but they are people none the less. But nothing, however, would prepare them for the chaos that would come during 'A WEEKEND'

with inspiration from such cinematic masterpieces as 'The Room' and 'Troll 2', this short movie is a visual journey that is not afraid to show off its flaws (in fact they are sometimes accentuated). It takes on a genre that is exclusive to itself. With psychedelic interpretive dance in a costume that looks like a dirty laundry hamper went through a wood chipper to a party with young adults that is anything but comfortable to watch. We follow a small family of 3 (a single mother, and her two kids). Diane is dealing with the issues of being abandoned by her husband. She drinks, and makes casseroles. Karen is a 14 year old girl who is full of angst. She expresses some of her aggression through her love interest, Nathan (a 21 year old man). Mike is a 22 year old man living in the basement of his mothers house, occasionally coming up to talk to his mother and eat. his idea of a good time is drinking small amounts of alcohol and playing video games. He also has a job at the retail clothing store.
