because the US is a nation of conservatives and secretly ...thought it is not politically correct to admit we are used to a white, Christian male in charge of the country. However, now people are starting o realize that this criteria does not guarantee in any way that the president will be an able leader. And I praise you for your acknowledgment about what is going on here and around the world. It seems that not many people are open-minded to say the least.

jae26hood, for as many disadvantaged black kids growing up in the ghettos where guns and drugs are mainstream there's an equal number of white kids growing up in trailer parks in equally tough circumstances. And that is the case throughout the world, from Africa to China and Russia. Why can Pakistan and Indonesia elect a female president yet in the US electing a female president or a black president is some sort of a taboo?

Barack belongs to all American. This campaign is a vehicle for change. Also, he's embodies both white ancestry and black ancestry. Through his experiences he has shown that he embodies all americans. I Think his campaign will transform the nation to a diffrent decade where the concepts that unite us will be more stroner than what divides us.

wow..I love he barack Obama camapign...i can't believe so many white people are supporting a brother...Let's hope those same white folks votes for him once they are safe inside the voting booth with no one looking over their shoulder.
