@G08208 You're obviously not from Scotland buddy, if u were you would know that rangers and Celtic fans come from all over and not just Glasgow. Some people choose to support the old firm over their local team.

@mattlaw92 you mean an Shetland as part of Scotland or as an island nation? I know in Orkney when I mentioned the mainland, they told me I was on mainland:) Didn't really discuus independance with anyone there though. I've heard Shetland is has a strong norwegian influence. Do you know if the surname brass is common there? Quite a few Linklaters in the family tree too. Many of the Native American people here have Orkney surnames from the Hudson Bay fur traders. 80% were from Orkney.

@mattlaw92 I love Scotland. Both my parents have strong Scottish roots (Orkney and Hebrides) I guess it's a blood DNA thing, but can't help feeling strong connections to it. I was reading some stats that there are as many people of Scottish descent in Canada as there are in Scotland! Edinburgh was my favourite city when we went there. Good luck with the football and independance!! As William Wallace said "FREEEEEEDOM!!!" :)

@habrass It's about 50/50 right now with the people wanting become independant but the number for it has been steadily rising. Our team is absolute crap but we don't care, we support our country no matter what.
