Slug Hunting from "When Learning Comes Naturally"

At Seth Boyden Elementary School, 2nd grade students go "slug hunting" in the gardens of the schoolyard. Questions like "Where do they hide?" "What do they eat?" and "What do they feel like?" engage these young minds in their outdoor classroom.

Seth Boyden is one of four schools profiled in the show WHEN LEARNING COMES NATURALLY, the fourth program in The Learning Child Series, which will air on public television beginning September 1, 2009. Check your local listings for airtimes.
