  • The sound quality is outstanding, and I personally believe that Nathan Milstein has control over the piece.

  • Pure as Water.

The sound is SO crystal clear. And Milstein feels so perfect that I am just left speechless.

The section after 6:00 made me almost stop breathing (but the final somehow took away much of the previously built up tension...I would have preferred something more intense, in an inner kind of way - but that's just my sensibility).

    Thanks for uploading.

  • I'm now working on the exact same piece. I can really measure the gap between him and I... he's really brilliant.

  • My mom loved it! :)

  • it sounds so peaceful and tranquil.

    So beautiful.=)

  • @stupidstorm which is good, but still bad.

  • @stupidstorm Romantic era playing is the playing style used by a musician when playing romantic period music. Its strikingly different to Baroque.

  • @stupidstorm and plus, he probably uses the LEAST vibrato out of all the great violinists of the 20th century. If you know a bit more about the great players, you would know that Milstein believed vibrato was only an "ornament."

  • @ModellMeister excuse me. what exactly is "romantic era“ playing? I'm quite sure no one alive can tell us that.

  • @russellkim98 I'm pretty sure every soul on earth thinks that too. =D

  • @kelleypm3 Why talk about Perlman when we are listening to a very fine performance by Milstein? Perlman doesn't even play this piece! A dogmatic statement like this is just silly and displays a lack of taste!

  • The extensive use of vibrato and just the entire demeanor of his playing style alone is more suited for romantic eras.
