No need for anyone to get upset.. this would have done no damage and very little wear.. even on a new engine.. all new vehicles are run in properly at factory and new cars these days are designed to be "idiot proof".. hence the rev limiter is below redline.. and there would have been more than sufficient air flow and coolant flow to keep the engine from overheating. You can't redline an automatic lancer.. i've tried
