Of course there is a war on Christmas - just ask that poor guy that got trampled on black friday at that walmart store, while opening the doors for the shoppers.
Oh wait: he's dead.....
Fucking christmas....$6.30 an hour and a fucked up way to die.

Christmas is an UNCHRISTIAN holiday. Not only is it pagan in origin, but it violated the Ten Commandments. We are not instructed to worship the Baby Jesus, therefore, the Baby Jesus is a FALSE GOD!
We are also COMMANDED not to worship images of the supernatural. Nativity scenes amount to IDOL WORSHIP!
If you celebrate Christmas, you are GOING TO BURN IN HELL!
Does it surprise anyone that Fox News breaks another commandment and bares false witness when reporting on the War on Christmas?

@05Woodrow "We also allow other faiths to practice their beliefs" . LOL. Kind of ironic this phrase lately seeing the whole outrage against mosques being build on public land. We 'allow' them as much as we can control them you mean.

I agree with the previous poster. It's all about retail. Oct to Dec is basically where consumer companies make the most money. I wouldn't be too offended, though I get where you're coming from. For the record Ramadan changes each year since it is based on the lunar calendar so only once every several years is it the same time as Christmas. Now where are my chestnuts... to roast... la de da you know the rest LOL

And Christmas wouldn't exist if the pagan solstice celebration didn't exist. Ditto for easter vs. pagan celebration of fertility. So, I wouldn't get too touchy-feely about turning celebrations into this or that. The important thing is we all enjoy each other's company, and to eat well and share.

Um, I sort of agree but not for the reason you have. People have a right to celebrate what they want, and private store owners can endorse whatever view they want. Just don't get upset if someone says "happy holidays" instead, or you will be restricting the very right you demand for your own beliefs. Right?
USA was not founded on Christian faiths. First commandments in OT, and the first amendment of the Constitution... Compare and contrast. Can you spot the difference?

Hey, if you don't like "Christmas" reminders because you do not celebrate Christmas - then don't go out - stay home. Both Canada and the United States were founded on Christian faiths. We also allow other faiths to practice their beliefs.

I "celebrate" Christmas, because it is a good excuse to be with my family, drink beer and eat good food; but it is true, Christmas celebration is very pushy, not only for the Christians but also for all that marketing around it.
I'd be all over being told Happy Hanukkah or Blessings of Ramadan (or whatever one might say if they were into Ramadan). The only reason Christmas is shoved in your face the day after Halloween is retail. I'd be MORE than happy to have a quiet run-up to Christmas, with jazz in the stores and nary a mall elf in sight. Kinda like Easter you know? Everywhere you go it's all this pastel colored crap with cheap chocolate inside. Hardly reminiscent of a bloody crucifiction.

As far as retail goes, why doesn't everyone just start pusshing Hanukkah? There are *seven* gift-giving days there, rather than just the one.

I watched the entire video, it was very intriguing.
My only question is: Why don't you have eyebrows?

Because the guy who made him didn't want to spring for eyebrows. :)

You do not have to be christian to celebrate christmas, ask a child what christmas is about and he/she will say santa, snow, presents ect. If you want to be religious and celebrate the religious aspect of christmas then go ahead and if your not religious then just enjoy the decorations, presents and general atmosphere

I wasn't saying anything about who could celebrate Christmas, and I agree; lots of non-Christians celebrate it. But the holiday DOES take over public spaces for 6 weeks, and if you're not on the inside of that, it's annoying.
