Paul Charles Morphy 1837-1884, was the first to be hailed "The World Chess Champion". It was not an official Title, but still a Great Accomplishment. This is a game between Morphy and Eugene Rousseau in 1849. Hope you enjoy and feel free to leave comments.

  • Great!!!!!

    Genius!!

  • why not queen h4+ after kxf7??? please respond

  • First game I saw of Morphy's and my impression is that he plays very recklessly.

  • random but queen e6 is also checkmate

  • I'm not doubting Morphy's talent but there is no way you would get 3...g5 from even a 1200 player on the net today completely opening up his king side with no development whatsoever.

  • 4:33 "this is sweet right here" you got that right

  • @bluband2 Ah that was so obvious! Thanks for letting me know I should have seen that

  • @bliink182 because Qc8xc5 check! would be the response

  • LOL Morphy fucked dudes up.

  • Can somebody please explain why at 5:26 pawn takes knight is such a bad move? Thanks!
