@barbs19788 yeah but if we got alcohol vending machines in western contries we would probably see many drunken teens throughtout the streets at night, at least thats what i see here in portugal(14 year old girls going at it at the disco and then throwing up right there -.-'', gosh these days almost every teen doesnt know how to party without being drunk. i'm 16 and hate the sight of my friends being like that). in japan when it restricted to under age it means really restricted for those...

今、ケーブルテレビを見ていたらどこかで見た顔が……、ハルカだ
! ハゲタカの再放送を見ていますがハルカさんですよね? -
Simplicity: Also agreed.
Etiquette: Hmm the shop workers have to be like that as part of their job and you can tell when it's said 'hollow' and they are just going through the movements lol. Also Japanese people on the subway in the morning and evening rush hours have no manners or etiquette whatsoever, it's a free for all.
Kwik-E-Marts: Frescos <3 The 24 hour opening time for the combinis is superb
Trustworthiness: Depends on the person/group tbh
Keitai + Quality + Humility : Agreed
-
Snacks: OK I guess though British chocolate is much nicer than the stuff over here haha
Food Quality: Not really, as a meat eater (was going to say carnivore but that would just be weird) the meat quality isn't that great BUT for chicken breast it's daftly cheap at Frescos but in the same breath the beef is awful and so fatty. That said the vegetables here are amazing :P. As for the McDonalds remark, totally agree best Big Mac I've ever ate was made in Kyoto lol
Safety: Agreed
I don´t mean to be rude, but are you afraid of that bookcase falling?? Because you keep looking up all the time, have you ever experienced any sort of earthquakes in japan?

@mvlbenatti Lots of earthquakes in Japan. I don't remember much since I took this a while ago, but I assume it's my cat I'm looking at.

Since your over there how is the fukushima problem over there? Its amazing how silent the world is and I figured in Japan if its as bad as they claim they wouldn't be able to hide it over there.

@Twisted86 It's still a major issue, and will probably be for the next 50 years, giving that there is no way to fix it. Life has returned to normal for the rest of Japan, but Fukushima and Iwate are still sore points - both trying to find the evacuees new jobs, homes, and lives. Tokyo Deryoku is finally paying out to the people who lost their homes, but it will still be a while before things get better in that area.

you're very lucky to be there... i really wanted to go there for a very long time now. but, how about the language, can you speak japanese? is there a problem if somebody go there only speaking english, and i'm not talking about going there as a tourist, but i'm looking for a place for me to live for the rest of my life. job is not a problem since my business is internet related. is it hard to get citizenship? thank you.

@emonikino Hi! I'm not a Japanese citizen, so I don't know about that. But As far as moving here for the rest of your life, this is a great place to live. (I live in Japan, and never felt like I had to or even wanted to leave.) Of course, you do need to learn the language. There are people who go through life here without doing so, but they face a lot of problems. You can learn after you get here though - it helps to be in the right environment to learn any language.
