I have a new-found fascination with reloading that I have yet to jump into - still in the decision making process - but my question is why don't you use the powder check die? Is it not accurate, or just not worth the money? Thanks for your vids, they are very helpful!

Size/trim or trim/size. I've herd both ways. In my mind I would think to size then trim. Does sizing shorten or lengthen the brass? My 650 is on its way so I want to make sure I'm doing this right before I start. Also would I need to trim straight wall pistol brass. Thanks

Thank you for making this video.

@rey1933 Yes, you need caliber conversion kits to do this. They are for sale at various places (midwayusa, dillon) are just two.

@yzsonly You inspect, measure, and trim (if needed) before you re-size: you use the resizing set of dies (which is the de-priming die/re-sizing die in one) - in this video, the resizing die is in station #1 (above powder measure). It's no different than a single stage press in this process, except you immediately move to the next station of dropping in the powder.

just a quick question im new to reloading and Want to start up.
You said that the cases were resized before reloading, now do you resize you're brass and then trim if you need to? If so how does this work in a progressive reloader as the case that has been re-sized/trimmed will then run through the Full length re-size die again? This has gotten me some what confused if you can get back to me that would be great
cheers.

How consistent is the ammo when using this press?

Are you neck or full length resizing the brass?
Yes, you've pointed out a "fine point" of optimizing rifle loading. What I do is put some imperial sizing wax on a Q-Tip (just a touch!) and wipe the inside of the case neck. I have had the issue you talk about if I put too much on the Q-Tip, so a little goes a long ways. :)
