recorded in stereo with a Zoom H2 - Try listening with headphones.- -- oriental song with good dynamic range - heavier drum transients come in after ~5:00 - - FE206EN seems a nice match for the cabinet. Its more powerful than my 1772 in BK20. This early Karlson 12 featured a reversable port panel for presence control, and a 3 position rear bar to tighten the lowpass gap. later Karlson Twelves had a distributed slit vent.

In the pictures, there's also the early Karlson Eight with W8-1772 and my little scrap "K5" with MCM fullrange.

Something went wrong with the pictures aspect ratio - maybe a weak battery?

Karlson cabinets can be great. Julian HIrsch and "The Audio League Report" was probably the first examination of Karlson's cabinets and an 8" was tried in this model cabinet giving better bass extension than the 12"

  • that's "Scenery with leaf-falling" from "The Spirit Of The Chinese Drum" cd (sometimes sold as a 2-cd set)

in another Karslon 12 cabinet I have a 12" coaxial with 109oz ferrite slug magnet and 4-inch voice-coil that plays well
