@chonyc77 I did some jumps and broke my rear shock tower. It only got a foot of air xD after i upgrade to rpm so far it been good. Hit a wall xD. Broke a camber link. Upgrade to alum. Took it on better jumps and so far it doing great. Also got lipo and it still holding up. The front shock tower so far is holding up to. Rustler a great truck

Check out my rustler vxl double backflip vid!!!!!!!!

If you run the Velineon motor on a Three cell Lipo for to long or at to high of Throttle it WILL burn out VERY fast, ESC is Great but the Motors burn easy, replace with 5400kv Mamba Max, Bullet-proof Motors, you can find them on ebay for like $75 way better motor.!

I have a few Traxxas VXL cars (2 Stampedes, Rustler, Bandit, Summit (not brushless)
and while the Rustler is great fun to drive it is probably the least durable of the bunch. The Stampede 2WD VXL being the most durable. Actually the Stampede is the most durable RC car i own. The Rustler with a simple high speed cart wheel will break. I always seem to break the same peace and stock up on them. Its the rear bearing hubs which always break on my Rustler from normal bashing. Other than that, good.

@johng321ify No, no probs with motor what so ever. Crasches will kill your car before that even becomes a factor :)

@nzdot so basicly what ur saying is if i dont crash my car my moater will last?
johng321ify 1 year ago
@johng321ify No, I'm saying you'll go through so many other spares that you won't even notice a new engine in the budget. Unless you drive carefully, but then the motor won't overheat and not wear.
