theres a video of eddie izzard talking seriously about the hardships in burma, promoting a charity thing.
His opening line?
'Don't laugh, you're in Burma'
I laughed my ass off!

For me, his fox hunting bit was too similar to Bill Bailey's fox hunting routine, but I loved the rest of it--especially the horse-whisperer bit. He's just so unafraid to tell the audience that he has no clue what to say next. That's refreshing. <3

I believe it's because Phil Jupitus, who was on before him, did an impression of Eddie Izzard waxing lyrical on the merits of moths. But then, Eddie could just say 'Jelly' and I'd laugh my arse off! :)

it was alistair mcgowan who was on earlier said that he would like it if eddie izzard took over from david attenborough at narrating the nature programmes, and then went on to do an impression of him talking about moths, that is why the found it all so funny

but im sure eddie izzard is enough of a genius anyway to come on stage and say a random word and make thousands laugh!
