  • i live in lake simcoe

  • @REZ138 Musts be nice not to have to travel far to have excellent fishing all year round!!...God bless you, Italo

  • Can you please tell me the EXACT NAME of the lure because its looks like it will catch fish and i would like to buy one. Send me a meassage when you have a chance. THANKS

  • @thebrandonzu I can. It's the Blue Fox Lil'Foxee Jigging Minnow (rapala.ca/products/bluefox/lfjm.php). They are only available from Canada. If you email info@rapala.ca , they can tell you where you can order them from....God bless you, Italo

  • What size Lil Foxee Jigs were you using? I just got 6 of the 9/16 oz ones and they look like they might be the same size. I got them to try and get walleye and white fish. I had to order them from a place in Canada, because they are not available here in the states. Now if we could only get some good ice out on the Saginaw Bay so I can try them out. This winter has been way too warm.

  • @RagnarrBjorn The 9/16 oz. will be ideal. Just remember to "shake" them on the bottom and not to over-jig them. I find that "shaking" action catches more fish. We have the same dilemma in Ontario. I just shot an ice-pike show yesterday and now we have rain and mild temperatures. Maybe we will get winter in Feb./March!...God bless you, Italo

  • @nocountryjon Thank you for your kind words. When I'm fishing Lake Simcoe where most of the larger whitefish feed on 4-5" smelt, I prefer to use the Foxee' Minnow. If your whitefish are feeding on larger baitfish, it should also work well there...God bless you, Italo

  • @ItaloLabignan great video! i live in Alberta watch you constantly...do you prefer the blue fox to a wireworm? If so i have to change my strategy as i am going to try and get Jumbo whites next weekend.

  • @Blistered666 You can use just a hook & minnow on the bottom, or you can jig using a variety of flashy spoons and jigs. The most popular spoon to use for them is the Williams Whitefish. These spoons are equipped with a treble hook and also two side-hooks. The key is to jig them slow and allow them to settle on the bottom before you jig them again. I have had excellent luck jigging with the Blue Fox Foxee' Minnow. Just a jighead/ 3" tube also works great...God bless you, Italo

  • i'm from Northern Ontario we fish 4 whitefish using nets, tie it to the shore and stretch it out... but i like to try ice fishing get into using rods and don't know which hooks to use and which works best... Do u also use Power baits, and Gulps egg formation .. which depth is the best... everybody likes to go ice fishing for walleyes only... been studying other videos lately
