In the video "'Learn To Drive' by Ray D'Arcy (Part 2 of 4)," Niall, a driving instructor, remarks: "The main mistakes when overtaking [a stationary vehicle] are: not allowing enough clearance between you and the vehicle you are passing, and misjudging distance and speed of oncoming vehicles." The learner driver in the "Split second..." clip above misjudged the speed and distance of the car that was coming towards him/her in trying to pass the stationary bus.
