Zero Breast Cancer re-named the Shining Star award in honor of Hal Brown, a legendary Marin County public official who prides himself in his accessibility to everyone living in Marin. This award is presented in recognition of individuals, businesses, non-profits and healthcare organizations for their support of community health and breast cancer issues.
We at Zero Breast Cancer cannot think of a more worthy individual to receive the inaugural 2011 Hal Brown Shining Star award than Patricia Kendall, Medical Group Administrator of the Kaiser San Rafael Medical Center.
Pat is a both a healthcare executive and a community leader well known for her stewardship of the Healthy Marin Partnership and for her active support of preventive health and healing professionals, breast cancer education and support programs, and advocacy.
Whether leading as chair of the Healthy Marin Partnership, or as president of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, or serving on the boards of the North Bay Leadership Council and the Marin School to Career Partnership, or supporting the Marin Community Clinics and programs that provide healthcare to the uninsured, Patricia Kendall's leadership has made an immeasurable difference in our communities.
