I haven't seen so much poorly applied lipstick, since my last midnight viewing of Rocky Horror.

The friendly headhunters? This makes me think of some sort of INCREDIBLY weird version of Tintin.

.......I'm not sure. O_O I don't remember if I knew about the parody 7 months ago. I initially found out by clicking on one of these and seeing a comment saying something like "So this is the cartoon The Incredibles was parodying..." So, umm, maybe this comment was an unintentional but wonderfully cheesy pun.

Is that an intentional reference to The Incredibles parody of this?

Yes, but if you've ever seen the animated segments of "THE NEW 3 STOOGES", Cambria's efforts are just below Hanna-Barbera's, and ABOVE Sam Singer's "SINBAD JR." (which H-B also worked on). And there's always that "Stooges running into the distance" footage {with slight variations} that ended every other episode....

Wired how Cambria had like 3 cartoons with Syncro-Vox and VERY limited animation, then decided to go with the limited animation style that was used a lot at the time (HB, UPA, and probably more)/

Only Jay Ward & Alex Anderson's original version of "CRUSADER RABBIT" (1949-'51), one of THE first made-for-TV cartoons, had more limited animation. But it had very clever scripts to make up for that!

VERY limited animation, Jean. That was Cambria Studios' specialty in the early '60s...yet "CLUTCH CARGO", with its five-part serialized stories, was one of the most popular TV cartoon shows on local stations in the early '60s....later, they produced the animation for "THE NEW 3 STOOGES" (1965-'66).

This was syndicated three years BEFORE Hanna-Barbera introduced "JONNY QUEST", 'Rich'.
