DO NOT USE ANY OF THESE THINGS TO CLEAN AN INDUSTRIAL PIERCING
-RUBBING ALCOHOL
-HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
-Q-TIPS
-COTTON BALLS
-COTTON PADS

THE ONLY THING YOU SHOULD USE ARE DIAL SOAP, SEA SALT AND YOUR FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!

I got an industrial piercing the other day, and I absolutely love it.
steps to keeping it squeaky clean
1. Shampoo/condition hair in the shower
2. wash hands with Dial antibacterial soap
3. Lather dial antibacterial soap, apply to ear and jiggle the bar.
3. Leave soap on for 5 minutes
4. Rinse soap off of ear, jiggle bar to get soap out of the holes.

You also want to do the salt water method. It works the best out of anything.
1. fill a small bowl with hot water (just hot enough so that you're comfortable)
2. stir in a decent amount of SEA SALT (not iodized)
3. dip ear in bowl for several minutes, taking breaks to jiggle the bar.

If you're a girl, keeping your hair up for a few weeks in a VERY good idea.
Do not EVER touch the industrial with your hands unless you're in the shower and you've cleaned your hands well.

  • But what if I go to a salon to get my hair washed and they like umm scrub to hard and like, scratch my ear ?

  • @HaveAriInBeauty Well, to be honest I would have waited to go to a salon, but since it sounds like you've already been, just be extra vigilant in cleaning it. Be sure not to miss a day. And the sea salt and water should help keep the infection away.

  • How bad does it hurt? I'm getting mine the day after Christmas.

  • @audreyCHAOS It really depends on how high of a pain threshold you have. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and it hurt a bit, but it's pretty quick. I would recommend bringing some ibuprofen with you because that will help with the throbbing afterward, and the swelling.

  • why is there a baby on the bed ...

  • @dominick4568 lol that's my daughter's doll.

  • @RisSyBeoTcH69 Your not supposed to use peroxide it will delay the healing time and dry out your pericing makeing it red and sensitive to touch. i would stop using this and start using dial soap

  • Can you do a update video/ your industrial bars you have?

  • Im using hydrogen peroxide, and hoping it works since it is used to clean wounds etc. do u think it will heal faster with that in the future?

  • I'm 12 and I got my industrial bar yesterday. I have been using the sea salt also, and I have been praying it dont get infectetd! Im gonna Start taking the advice you gave me! Thanks!(:

  • @hotcheetolovers i've had mine almost two years and that's normal for it to bleed when you get it caught on something because the skin is sensitive near the piercing right after you get it done. the puss and crustyness is normal too. i had all of that soo just clean it 2 or 3 times a day or however many times makes you happy. and you should move it throughout the day so your skin/crusties don't get stuck to it. hope that helps! ;p

  • can someone explain to me why i suddenly have bumps on the back of my ear? :(( It's really hurting!

  • got mine done today thanks...long video or not awesome info better than some others here...

  • I got my industrial done about three weeks ago, and in the past days i got these really nasty bumps on my ear! I noticed it when I was changing and my shirt got caught on my earring, (nasty part) There happened to be a little pus coming out the bottom hole & tonight It started bleeding off and on. When I move the bar up and down it I can feel crustys.... I used mediterranean sea salt and it not helping. I don't know what else to do :( I really love it, but Don't know what else to do :( HELP

  • @theonlytryshalee yes, h20cean is something u can use. It would be the same thing as soaking ur ear in the sea salt. Use it up to 5 times a day and when ur in the healing process make sure to clean it and not get any crustys in ur hole or it will get infected.
