Let's Play Wizardry 8 - Part 8-2

We meet another NPC on the road. He's part of a rat mafia and the quest he offers is that we rob the bank.....again, but in this case the item he wants was stolen before we got there and instead of backtracking I decide to skip it and just find the original bandits later.

We also find the graveyard. It's haunted by an evil spirit and if you cleanse it you get a small Xp bonus. You need a holy water to do so and if you don't have one, just search outside the graveyard on one of the hills by the road. I do this in the vid. You also get 2 pieces to use for custom items here, the skull and some mummy dust from the mummy (if he drops it).

There's also a secret here that i'll show in a bonus vid later, right now we're too weak to try it.

I've always been a bit fussy on rps's but now wish I had picked this one up. Looks like a solid development by the team.

It's a shame Wizardry 8 was never released for the Mac. This seems like a pretty decent game.

But if only we could have a other views like if you could see your character i would totally play this game.

the guy doing the LP put new music in (which makes this LP suck imo)

and the view is exactly why this game rocks.

well i should say one of the reasons

this is one of the only games that matured to get it right and advance away from its roots a bit.

but the smooth scrolling of running around etc is excellent. add in that the engine is phenomenal, ive never got stuck on anything - i do in new games all the time.

i used to use phased combat but continuous mode is much better!

Damn this game have almost everything Nice Music some cool voice and magic but damn i don't like the fighting View.

I wish we could change the view.
