If anything this song is an exploration of the existential crisis that individuals suffering from Depression. How does that convey cynicism? That the human experiance isn't a clean and easy journey? Is it cynical youth of today are willing to engage in a dialogue about mental illness in an effort to deal with it, while those of your generation view mental illness as a weakness and did not allow those people suffering from it to help themselves and find solace in the fact that they are not alone?
