Lol. Trim brakes, they slow down the ride.

what do you mean: 'trim'?

Trim brakes are breaks used to slow down a train to a specific speed that the park sets. Without them, the train goes faster, obviously. With the Mean Streak, they do not want to replace sections of the track with much strain, so they place some trim brakes on it to make it slower with less strain on the track.

It's even worse this year! Man, I remember riding it when I was in 1st or 2nd grade ( I'm in 10th now) and saying, "oh, here's that long stretch, they slow you down a little" (the brake shed). Now, its everywhere. Down the first hill, the second hill, brake shed, and down the second lift. I know that there were always trims there, but you would never notice them. So sad!

I know that whenever there are coaster conventions, they often turn off trims, in my local parks at least. Sigh, we can only hope they do not remain to do this to such a classic coaster.

They trim it WAY too much now, it sucks!

Speaking of trims, just look at what they did to Mean Streak a few years ago.
