@malcontent33 Jaja ben dit!!! Aquí com a mínim tenim tradicions conectades amb els nostres avantpassats, la nostra tradició i manteniment del record dels que en precedien...!
-
@31operafan Obviously: this ancient tradition is connected to the ancestral traditions about the winter solstice practized by pre-roman peoples as Celts, Ibers, etc..
-
France has something similar to this (their yule log also produces gifts if you hit it with sticks). So the tradition is not entirely confined to Andorra or Catalonia.

I wrote an essay about this for English, It had to be about a christmas tradition somewhere around the world. got an A+ !

@gekizai no, i am catalan the tio don't shits anything, just you beat it and the is broken and all the presents flow out , its like a pinyata
-
Ok, wait... you beat the shit out of a log and it poops out stuff... much of which you are supposed to eat. This is like the weirdest mashup ever of Log™ (see: Ren and Stimpy,) Mr. Hanky™ (see: Southpark) and a pinata. This thing must be real though. I've run across too many other references to it on the web. It just sounds like something from a parallel universe or something, wow.
Wow, I din't know in Catalonia had this old tradition.
It's great!
Love Catalonia!!
