Our day at Cocoa Beach to witness the launch of Apollo 15 on July 26, 1971 to the moon! Shot in Super 8 film with our family voiceovers 35 years later.
@FantasticBob7000 lol, yes sir. Beach babes looked the same back then apparantly as they do today. This one in particular reminded me of the girl Bo Derek plays in "10." Just smoking hot.
Fake. More moon landing hoax. Smoking gun evidence that Chemtrails were used for implanted memories from the spraying. No way they are spraying mosquitos on a crowded beach in launch-restricted airspace. Invisible rocket - just a ball of light and some smoke? We are supposed to believe crappy NASA fake special effects? If voiceover is 35 years later why do they still sound like little kids. Don't buy it sheeple.
(Nevermind - just having some fun in the style of a hoax believer...)
Great video, loved the accompanying comments too. I saw the next one, Apollo 16, sitting on the pad. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the day of the launch, however.
Simply phenomenal to own a treasure like this. This is only the second home video of any of the Apollo launches I've ever seen, it's absolutely beautiful.
It's amazing to realize that that little dot that separated and continued onward was large enough to contain yet another spaceship, tucked neatly inside. And, of course, that craft contained two propulsion systems, one to be discarded on the moon upon lunar take-off, and one integrated into the ascent stage. A lot of combustible firepower within firepower, that's what the Saturn V rockets mostly were; and in the end all of it was used without an incident, from earth to the moon and back.

Whew! You had me going for a minute there. Believe me, I've dealt with enough of them. You've got them down pat.
Thanks to SNWombat for uploading this. Very nostalgic.

@severrnijKGU There was once a test of the Saturn V engines, and the end result was people 50 miles away thinking they were having an earth quake.

What a wonderful day to remember, I'd guess one of the "kids" has now digitised the memories (!)

Amazing historic footage.
Not to be trivial, but I really like the cute bikini girl too.
