Carl Schlemowitz from Vicious Cycles was an early adopter of the 29" wheeled mountain bike. He proudly displayed a 29" bike at the 1999 Interbike show, and sent Dirt Rag a 29" Motivator for review back in Y2K. So it should come as no surprise to find Carl at the forefront of the 650B (or 27.5" as he likes to say) wheel size revolution. He's already building 27.5" wheeled bikes, and is excited about the potential benefits of the new wheel size. Carl takes a seat in Dirt Rag's armor plated chair and tells all.
I also heard that Carl smoked everyone else on the World Mud Bog Championships. He doesn't look to be an athletic god fit to be immortalized in a Roman statue, but I suppose his gear has something to do with that.

My buddy Brett was riding that yellow bike as a loaner. I think that's Carl's wife's bike. He was smoking me on my new 29er Ti HT. I was holding him up on the DHs when I went first and if he went first, I'd lose sight of him and I'd take a wrong turn... lol. I didn't get to test ride one, but Brett sure was sold on the design of the Mamba Sun that he worked for Carl for many weeks leading up to Interbike as payment for a frame.

27 and a half is too much of a mouth full.
27.5er just doesn't work.
650b, yea that's okay.
But I think "BEer" is perfect!
