HI. I AM SORRY FOR THE SOUND IS REGULAR.
THE TEXT IS THIS:
My name is Angelica María Garzón Sarmiento, I am nineteen years old and my major is Occupational Therapy and I am in four semester.
I will talk about Canada because that country contributed a lot to the development of the occupational therapy.
Canada is located in the north extreme of North American continent and the capital is Ottawa.
The Canadian federation consists of ten provinces and three territories, and is governed as a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth II as head of state.
It is a bilingual nation with English and French as official languages.
The most predominant religion is the catholic.
The occupational therapy in Canada was born in the beginning of century twenty, thanks to that, it was recognized the therapeutic value of the occupation.
In nineteen twenty six (1926) it was created the Canadian association of occupational therapist (CAOT), this organization is very important for the Occupational therapy because it produced investigation, helps position the career and strengthens the profession and the guild.
This association has a journal called "Canadian Journal of Occupational therapy", this journal is an important source of information about the advances and the situation of the profession.
Additionally the occupational therapist created a consensus through of the CAOT about a model for work the occupational therapy, this is a lot meritorious because it is very difficult to come to a global agreement about a theory.
This model is called "Canadian model of occupational performance" and talks about a dynamic relation between the person, occupation and the environment generated for the occupational performance.
In general the occupational therapy in Canada has a humanistic vision of the profession and holistic vision of the person and context, it is for this reason that I like this country.
For me is the cot of the occupational therapy, its meaning and importance like a "new" profession but with a big potential.
