When i was in Lajas last year, we observed a pack of about 100 rhesus monkeys running across a rural road, and into a field, where they hopped around like something from "Planet of the Apes". It was awesome to behold. It was surreal...I never knew that there were wild monkeys in Puerto Rico until this incident. Lajas is a trippy place, for sure!
