Hi guys! I'm Dana Ward at the Clevver TV headquarters with the scoop on the latest music from Mariah Carey.

The singer is back with a new vibe - and LOOK, I might add - in the first single off off her 12th studio LP. The track is called 'Obsessed' and there's a bit of role playing going on in the mini-movie, as directed by Brett Ratner. MC twittered that she plays a stalker - who's obsessed - in the music video and she rocks 3 different outfits for said-stalker. Let's get this straight - she's a chauffeur at one point, and then Mariah rocks a giant grey hoodie with a camera, some bling and a beard! That's right, she acts as a man. A ton of outlets are saying Carey is claiming Eminem is the one obsessed with her and the song is a response to Eminem's 'Bagpipes From Bagdad' in which he claims to have dated Mariah, adding that hubbie Nick Cannon should watch out because he wants her back. But the songtress has publicly said that she is not playing any particular person in the video.

Okay, but let's bring it back to the MUSIC, shall we? It's a smash single, hot song, she brought it! Obsessed debuted at number-11 on Billboard's Hot 100 with its smooth, mid-tempo beats and meaningful BEEFY lyrics. Mariah goes AT it - to whoever she's talking at, Eminem or not - saying that it was the drugs and foulplay that brought him down.

The new album, 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel', is set for an August 25th release date. Be warned that MC's super sexy looks will NOT cause you to see double - or triple at that. Mariah has 3-images of herself on the cover, because she says there are a lot of different emotions and stories revealed on the album.

Mariah just gave an outstanding live performance of I Want to Know What Love is, have to give Mariah props, I have found that her live performances are normally not as great, but this was FANTASTIC, her whistle notes were unbelievable.
