XXY - Trailer

Alex is not like other girls. She is a 15-year-old with a secret, one that no other can claim. Her parents keep her hidden away at a coastal town in amongst the dunes of the shoreline, buying time before they must decide on a life-threatening operation.

When old family friend and plastic surgeon Ramiro arrives with his teenage son Álvaro, Alex begins to realise that his visit could change her life forever. As the parents wrestle with the complications that will arise as Alex reaches adulthood, Alex and Alvaro become close, their relationship causing tensions amongst the locals. However, as the parents battle it out to instill a sense of open-mindedness amongst their society, it is the children who prove themselves to be flexible in understanding the sexual leanings and complexities of others. This was a beautiful and very moving film. It has nothing to do with whether or not the character is gay. This is a film about a young person trying to come to terms with being different and being forced to make a choice about something that is very difficult to figure out.

Any one who says it's gay really didn't see the movie she can't help how she was born on the 2nd has never felt different for this movie is truly powerful and for me it made me cry and I wanted more (I'm not going to say why for those who want to see it)

this entire XXY film is currently on Hulu free right now.  It was so interesting to how people relate to Alex in private compared to in groups. When a person acts so different one on one than in pubic ,I feel it smacks of disrespect under the surface .

aybe just a film im 47xxy and there is nothing i can do nor do i want to if people dont understand what xxy is find out you never know you might be i found out by blood tests so dont judge people by their indifferencies sam6
