Combined with ebooks and PDF support, this would have been great to use in an architectural course. Courier could have replaced my laptop as my mobile device of choice.

See, everyone wants to compete with the iPad. But Microsoft had the right idea here; instead of competing with Apple, it had a different vision. The iPad is about consuming media; the Courier is about creating things. Apple want us to be sheeple who just passively take in; Microsoft could've been the ones saying "hey the device is yours - go forth and make things and share ideas."

maybe they cancelled it after realising how much they'd get sued with copyright infringement cases caused by the line 'copy from the web' :) oops... wonder how their legal department let that one get through...
This is Microsoft at their best, being inventive and coming up with something that even a Mac user would be interested in - that's me by the way! :) ... instead hacking away at Windows - this is the UI they should be investigating

Once windows 8 comes out Microsoft should seriously look into releasing a more advanced version of Courier. I'll definitely buy that over the iPad any day! Apple has turned into a monopolizing incorporation that rips off it's own loyal users... Microsoft to the rescue!
