Chavez was past his prime at 33. There are fighters who were past their prime by their mid-20s (like Wilfred Benitez). You can notice that fighters like Chavez, sluggers, are generally past their best by age 30. Chavez´s prime ended the night he got the robbed draw against Pernell Whitaker.

canibus age doesnt nessacerily show whether a boxer is in his prime or not it depends wat types and how many fights the boxer has bin in also different people perform better at different ages respectievaly ceaser was out of his prime he had already lost fights and 33 isnt young for a welterweight!!

@salsancheznumber1fan Actually he did beat some hall of famers BUT ABSOLUTELY ZERO LEGENDS!!!! When he did come up against legends HE LOST, Ex: Oscar De La Hoya, Kostya Tszyu etc.

@canibusnj He was way past his prime against De La Hoya...in his prime and if he didn't have a bloody nose before the fight started, he would of crushed Oscar.
